Kalamaki

Set above Kalamaki in Crete, this architectural residence was designed to make the surrounding landscape an integral part of everyday living.

Its distinctive V-shaped layout gives each bedroom its own private terrace, carefully positioned to preserve privacy from neighbouring rooms. The different wings unfold around the main living areas and swimming pool, opening onto ever-changing views of the sea, the valley and the surrounding mountains.

Contemporary architecture is combined with local materials and traditional craftsmanship. The perimeter and retaining walls were handcrafted in natural stone using traditional Greek techniques, anchoring the residence naturally within its setting.

The panorama is never static: changing light, movement across the valley and the sea, and spectacular sunsets continually reshape the view.
